Young Actors Studio

Young Actor's Studio founded in 1996 by artistic director Jeff Alan-Lee. Offers a full conservatory or a choice of class for young actors in 3 age groups: 4-6, 7-12, 13 and up. Comedy Improv, Acting Technique/Production, Acting for the Camera, productions, and new original commissioned plays are some of the programs this Los Angeles based acting school offers. Faculty includes Jeff Alan Lee- a former child actor, and child acting teacher of over 20 years whose former students include Shia LaBeouf and Scarlett Johannsen.

I studied drama at Yale University and have dedicated my life to the study, practice, and teaching of film, television and stage acting. From my days as a child star, through my experience navigating Hollywood, to my current acting and coaching work in Los Angeles, I have developed a unique blend of methods and techniques to use with my acting students. My lessons are tailored to each actor?s strengths and weaknesses, taking into account their age, acting experience, past training, and career goals.

The Joanne Baron/D.W. Brown Studio has been a wellspring for the theatrical casting and producing community for over twenty years. The Studio's programs include Meisner training scene study, audition technique, cold reading, on-set coaching, customized private and group seminars, and Alexander Technique classes.
