Comment: I read all this stuff about How special JB's training is. That is not true. He emphasizes non-traditional stuff and calls it solid training. Really, this is NOT a good place to get a strong acting education.

Subject: Don't Bother with JBActors
Comment: This guy was kicked off of Wikipedia because he was spamming his name on the entries of famous acting teachers. He refused to leave so they had to block his website address. He also spams his school on Backstage message forum and then cries to the editors until they delete anything negative that is posted about him (He is an advertiser there). I attended one of his free classes and found him an arrogant man with no real credentials. Stay away from this guy... he is emotionally unstable trouble that your career does not need.

Testimonial:
I studied with Robert Modica for about a year and a half in the mid-80's. He introduced me to the Meisner technique, which I have found to be extremely apt for both film and TV work. Modica's integrity, passion, and acute eye for what's true and what is not are standards that I try to live up to every time I try to act. He is an instigator and an inspiration. He had a profound influence on both my acting and my life. DAVID DUCHOVNY

The Michael Chekhov Project
|
|
|
Imagine it. See it. Be it.
Michael Chekhov Project playshops with The Cohen Brothers:
(Certified Chekhov Teachers)
Find out why so many experienced actors are embracing the Chekhov technique in order to further develop their craft and grow as artists.
With this technique, the actor learns how to consider his body as an instrument for expressing his creative imagination. Chekhov's practical approach enables actors to tap into their active imaginations and creative impulses . The result is inspired acting. This workshop will emphasize Chekhov's concepts of Qualities of Movement, Psychological Gesture, Imaginary Body, Centers, Atmospheres and more. MCP's ensemble style creates a safe and fun environment for actors to learn and explore together.
? The technique of acting can never be properly understood without practicing it. ?
--Michael Chekhov
David and Bryan offer acting and improvisation classes.
