Saturday Workshop 6 - 9PM
Class 2: Creative Imagination

Exercises and Etudes: Fantasy as the necessary quality of creative thinking transforming the imaginary objects into the concrete form on stage. Exercises: How to create, enhance, and evolve your awareness.

Sunday Workshop 11-2PM
Class 3: Understanding and use of tempo and rhythm.

Exercises: What is tempo-rhythm ?
concept of tempo and rhythm; combination of tempo and rhythm; creating harmony on the stage through the understanding and use of tempo and rhythm.
Etudes: Improvisations (action with an undefined objective).
sense of partnership and ensemble; ability to say ?yes? on stage.
Etudes: Improvisations (action with a defined objective). event as the turning point of the scene; through the event to the action and preparation of the dramati climax .

Sunday Workshop 3-6PM
Class 4: . The space, the actor, the ensemble and objects on the stage
Exercises: Understanding volume of space and sense of self and partners in the space. awareness in the space; myself amongst partners and objects on the stage.
Etudes: Stanislavsky?s method of physical actions. Connection of body and subconscious; starting with the body and moving toward feeling.

Part 2: MONOLOGUES- What works for you and what doesn?t? How to find the best monologues for your audition. How to freshen up an audition piece. How to have a classy look by tying two mono-logues together in an audition. Oct 8 4:30-6

Part 3: THE COLD READING- How to learn to be a good cold reader. How to make immediate choices that work in an audition. How to not keep your head in the script. How to not panic if you have no time to prep before a cold read. Oct 14 4:30-6

Part 4: HEADSHOTS & RESUMES ? What works and what doesn?t? How to make your resume more professional without lying. Does your headshot work for you or against you? This includes a personal analysis of your headshot and resume. Oct 15 4:30-6

Proposal Writing- the nuts and bolts:
Two 2 hour workshops on grant writing. This course has been taught to non-profits all over Europe and the USA and is offered in the USA by the original teacher who has gotten over 250 million in grants over the past 10 years!!! Come and get yours! -$80 (7 places left in the class)

Part 1- From basic research to approaching funders and foundations and on to letters of enquiry and proposal writing. What are the main rules of grantwriting and how do you develop a relationship with foundations? How do you ?grow? your grants to get bigger each year? Oct 21 4-6

Part 2 -What to do once you have $$$? How do you spend it? What is the difference between restric-ted and unrestricted money? What should you know about reporting and record-keeping? What about US tax laws, state tax laws and others? (This includes handouts, lists of where to go, etc.) Oct 22 4-6
